National Museum of Singapore
Mama Shop of Memories

When the National Museum of Singapore launched ‘Home, Truly: Growing Up with Singapore, 1950s to the Present’, it was filled with everything nostalgic. From pictures of Singapore’s first National Day Parade, old MRT train tickets, to a working Rediffusion radio playing hits from the 60s. To promote the exhibition, we too wanted to create something that reminds us of the past, and rebuilt the neighbourhood Mama Shop in the digital realm. Filled with everything we love from the 1950s to the present, all visitors have to do is share their own memories of growing up in Singapore, and choose a treat to redeem at an on-ground vending machine.
